Earl Luckey, 87, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at his home.

Born July 27, 1927, in Bartholomew County, he was the son of Samuel and Lillian (Reed) Luckey. On Dec. 9, 1950, in Brownstown, he married Beulah Edna Cole.

Earl retired from Lear Siegler in Seymour in 1988 after 36½ years and also retired from Jamestown Apartments, Seymour, in 2008. He served as a trustee for 27 years, church bus driver for 40 years and an honorary usher at Seymour Christ Temple. He also was a member of the National Guard, serving as a sharpshooter.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah; children, Linda Jaynes, Brian (Deloris) Luckey and Mark (Shannon) Luckey; grandchildren, Sherry Kinworthy-Selby, Aaron (Morgan) Luckey and Mindy (Adam) Velez; and great-grandchildren, Dessira Kinworthy, Drew Selby, Nori Luckey, and Titus Velez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Luckey; twin brother, Merrill Luckey; son, David Luckey; and daughter, LaDonna Luckey.

A funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seymour Christ Temple, 607 Euclid Ave., Seymour, with the Rev. Dennis Allman and the Rev. Dennis Allman II officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Seymour Christ Temple or Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
