The northwest corner of an electric business was damaged Tuesday morning after a truck left the roadway and crashed into the building.

Jennings County Sheriff’s Department responded to the incident at Biehle Electric Inc., 9605 W. U.S. 50, which is a mile east of the Jackson County line.

After the truck crashed, there was damage to the metal siding of the building, and it resulted in some of the siding being removed from the foundation to the roof. It also left insulation and electrical supplies inside the building exposed.

The wreck also snarled traffic for people making the morning commute. The owner of Biehle Electric declined to comment about the incident.

Jennings County Emergency Medical Services Rescue 20 responded to the scene along with the sheriff’s department. Neither agency was available for comment by press time.
