Pair of gifts push Basket Fund to $1,741

Donations to this year’s Christmas Basket Fund grew to $1,741 Sunday with 12 new gifts in recent days totaling $516.

The fund, sponsored by American Legion Post 89 in partnership with The Tribune, will supply gift cards to residents in need throughout the county.

The new donations include:

In memory of Mildred and Gerald “Bones” Graves from Chris and Steve Letsinger, $50; In memory of Barbara and Mike Fleming from Brent, Lisa, Thomas and Stephen, $100; Merry Christmas from Bill and Sandy Brandt, $100; Merry Christmas from Country Lace Extension Homemakers, $40; In loving memory of my granddaughter, Carrie Ponder-Jackson on her birthday from Joby Moore, $36; In loving memory of our parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keck and Mr. and Mrs. William Bergdoll; brother, William E. Keck; and sisters, Avonda Brown and Wanda Salas, from Gerald A. and Barbara Keck, $50; In loving memory of our dad and stepdad, Leslie Crocket, from Danny, Dianne, Lanny, Max, Davy and Kevin $25; In loving memory of our dad and mom, Frank and Dorene Maynard from Elizabeth, Marvin, Shirley, Gladys and Sandra $25; In loving memory of Harry and Genevieve Marcott, Victor Marcott Jr., Betty Lou Marcott, William Marcott and Elroy and Mary Marcott, Victor Marcott Sr., Brenda, Bob and Kathy $40; and in loving memory of Chris and Marian Moritz from Chris and Judy Moritz and Jack and Nancy Hammond $50.

Donations can be left at The Tribune’s front desk, Jackson County Bank or American Legion Post 89. Donors can contribute anonymously and can dedicate donations to others.
