Sarah L. ”Sally” Tabor, 85, of Brownstown, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour.

She was a manager at Tabor TV & Appliances for many years and a volunteer at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Mrs. Tabor was a member of Brownstown Christian Church and had been a Sunday school teacher and a Bible school teacher there for several years. She was a member of Esther Circle and Golden Wheels Senior Group, both through the church.

Born June 29, 1929, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Edith Braden Spurgeon. She married Fletcher Tabor, and he preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1999.

Survivors include her children, Becky (Joe) Wakefield, Gene (Sue) Tabor and Ross (Kristi) Tabor; four grandchildren, Chris (Ashlee) Tabor, Laura (Ben) Pasquith, Dan (Mariana) Wakefield and J.T. (Kristen) Wakefield; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, James Arthur Spurgeon; and an infant brother.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brownstown Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brownstown Christian Church or to Red Sky Rescue.
