BROWNSTOWN

James Henry Ferguson Jr., 74, of Brownstown, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at home with his family around him.

Born Aug. 15, 1940, in Seymour, he was the son of James Henry “Jake” and Blanche Hutchings Ferguson.

On March 27, 1964, at Brownstown Nazarene Church, he married Sandra K. Price.

Jim was retired from Kieffer Paper Mill after 40 years of service. He was a member of Brownstown Nazarene Church and Medora Masonic Lodge 328. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and his horses, restoring cars and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra; son, Jeff (Lisa) Ferguson of Brownstown; daughter, Diana (Troy) Beedie of Brownstown; brother, Bill (Pat) Ferguson; sisters, Jean Gibby, Janet McKinney, Charlene (Carl Jr.) Roberts and Linda Horton; grandchildren, Lindsay (Seth) Pray, Katie Ferguson, Chase (Kaila) Beedie and Chance (Bri) Beedie; great-grandchildren, Brock Pray, Isabella Scifres and Kaselynn Beedie; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Donna Wilson and Marlene Charles.

Per Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Leesville Methodist Church, 7344 Leatherwood Road, Bedford. There will be a reception with the family following the service.
