Tigers beat Shawe Memorial

Crothersville squeezed out a 59-52 win at Shawe Memorial on Monday.

Trailing 41-37 after three quarters, the Tigers exploded for 22 points while holding the Hilltoppers to just 11 in the final eight minutes of play.

The Tigers’ Katrina Christian

led the Tigers, scoring 18 points

on five field goals and eight made free throws.

Rebounding proved crucial in the matchup, as the Tigers outrebounded the Hilltoppers 31-18 on the night. Christian led the Tigers with 10 boards.

In her first game of the season after returning from injury, Abby Jewell scored 12 points and added seven rebounds.

Both teams committed 25 fouls, and three players fouled-out for

the Hilltopers.

The victory was the Tigers’ fourth straight win.

The Tigers (8-4) resume their season Jan. 6 at Henryville.
