Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of Immanuel Lutheran Church met in the fellowship hall Dec. 9 for an Advent/Christmas luncheon and program.
Members and guests were served punch before the meal was served. The fellowship hall and tables were decorated with poinsettias, greenery and ribbons. Favors were red and green M&Ms in a small bag with a poem explaining the significance of the M&Ms in relation to the birth of Jesus.
Following the luncheon, the program “Candles Tell the Story” by Elaine Royak was presented by the committee. Christmas songs were sung after each Bible reading. Deanna Merz provided piano accompaniment and sang a solo, “Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mine.”
Pastors and support staff of the Seymour church were special guests.
Committee members were Jan Behrens, Bonnie Raabe, Janis Mundt and Sharon Klakamp.
