Nancy Ann Johnson Smith, 74, of Seymour, formerly of Brownstown, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, at her home.

Born Oct. 1, 1940, in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Walter M. and Esther Josephson Johnson. On November 19, 1974, at Vero Beach, Florida, she married Clifton “Gene” Smith. He preceded her in death.

Nancy attended Kurtz Church of the Nazarene and had retired in 2002 from Bedford Regional Medical Center, where she had worked as a registered nurse. She served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966.

Survivors include two children, Walter Eugene Smith and Jodie Lynn (Kevin) Smith; a brother, Richard Johnson; and grandson, Dayton Smith.

She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with the Rev. Floyd Fisher officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown with full military rites.
