Free story-time programs planned at libraries

The Jackson County Public Library is offering free story-time programs starting Jan. 12  in the Kidz Korner Program Room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Story times are 30-minute sessions incorporating age-appropriate early literacy activities that include stories, rhymes and songs. Registration is required.

The programs are:

Mother Goose & Me, open to ages 3 to 24 months, 5:30 p.m. Mondays.

Bouncy Babies and Little Tykes, open to ages 3 to 24 months, 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays.

Shake Your Sillies Out Toddler Time, open to ages 25 to 36 months, 6 p.m. Mondays.

Toddler Tales & Tunes , open to ages 25 to 36 months, 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays.

Preschool Explorers, open to ages 3 to 5, 6:30 p.m. Mondays.

Preschool Power, open to ages 3 to 5, 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays.

An adult must accompany children ages 36 months and under to the story times. Parents and caregivers of children ages 3 to 5 may attend story time with a child or wait in the Kidz Korner until the session ends.
