Phi Beta Psi exchanges ornaments

Phi Beta Psi’s annual ornament exchange and Christmas dinner recently was held at the home of Janet Cooper.

Officers Joan Trimpe, April Darlage and Stephanee Roberts served as the hostesses for the evening.

Table favors were Santas with bags of candy and candy canes. Door prize winners were Becca Rust, Dana Byrkett, Melissa Krawchison, Michele Lewis, Jackie Hill and Kalee Alberring.

Secret sister gifts were exchanged and members signed a Christmas card for Kathleen Johnson, who was unable to attend.

There was a short business meeting and committee chairs gave their reports. Trimpe said the newsletter had been sent. Cooper said final bingo profits would be given at the Jan. 19 meeting.

Taryn Rocky and Cori Vaughn distributed tickets for the Feb. 7 dinner and dance being held at Pewter Hall in Brownstown. There will be photo booth and the Third Generation Band will perform. The theme is “A Cabana Sunset Celebration.” Tickets are $75 per couple. Members should turn in ticket seating and money at the January business meeting also.

The six area senior queen contestants are Mariah Lewis, Macy Hall, Kennedy Richart, Brycelyn Ruddick, Alexis Thomasma and Maeleigh Tidd.

The girls will have their collection canisters at a penny a vote displayed Dec. 21. All proceeds support cancer research.

The queen candidates will be Theta Omega’s guests at the January social being hosted by Mary Reynolds, Susan Bevers and Dana Byrkett.
