Earl Ralph Haggadone, 82, of Scottsburg, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.

Born April 3, 1932, in Oxford, Michigan, he was the son of Ralph Haggadone and Eula Roach Newson, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a pipe fitter by trade and a volunteer minister, performing funerals and weddings.

Survivors include his sons, Kevin Haggadone of California and Keith Haggadone of Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepsons, Larry Atkins and Gary Atkins, both of Columbus, Mark Atkins of Nashville, and Lonnie Atkins and Buddy Atkins, both of Maine; a stepdaughter, Patricia Cash of Columbus; half brother, Theodore Newsum of Coldwater, Michigan; and a granddaughter, Judy Howell of Scottsburg.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Opal Cross Haggadone and Ida Plaster Haggadone; brothers, L.V. Haggadone and James Newsum; and sisters, Juanita Slatz, Olivia “Sue” Underhill and Ruth Buck.

The funeral service was Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, with the Rev. Joel Nunley officiating.

Burial will be at Davidson Cemetery in Scottsburg. Military graveside rites were conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1083 in Crothersville.
