Elizabeth Ann Swisher, 88, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Covered Bridge Health Care Center in Seymour.
Ann was born in Madison and was the daughter of John Edwin and Mary Margaret Buchanan Kramer. Her parents preceded her in death.
She graduated from Shields High School class of 1944 and was of the Methodist faith. After several years of service, she retired from the office of Kocolene Oil Corp. in the accounting and data entry departments.
She was an avid sports fan and some of her favorite teams were IU, the Pacers, the Colts and the Cincinnati Reds. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxillary.
On Feb. 6, 1959, she married Robin Duane Swisher in Seymour. He passed away Aug. 21, 2012.
She is survived by seven nephews, Bob (Susan) Bowman, Jeff Swisher, Gordon (Joy) Swisher, Wes (Betty) Swisher, Donnie Weaver, Darrel Bowerly and David (Rose) Bowerly; two nieces, Robin Sue (Randy) Rayburn and Sallie Ann Weaver; four great-nephews, Andy (Amanda) Bowman, Bobby Bowman, Vince McMullen and Andrew Swisher; four great-nieces, Meredith McMullen, Tiffany Swisher, Ronnie Swisher and Ellen Swisher; two great-great-nephews, Brady Bowman and Elliot Davis; and two great-great nieces, Madalyn Bowman and Esmarelda Vasquez
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Edwin Kramer; and a sister, Constance LaVerne Bowman.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. Kit Bogan officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday.
