FORT RITNER

Dolores Joanne Elliott, 80, of Fort Ritner, died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at her son’s residence in Seymour.

Born Sept. 9, 1934, in Campbellsburg, she was the daughter of Clifford and Leona Johnson Hughes, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Henry Maurice Elliott, and he preceded her in death March 21, 2012.

She was a member of Medora Pentecostal Church. She was a homemaker and worked at the Medora Plastic Factory for 15 years. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and outdoor activities.

Survivors include one son, Brian Elliott of Seymour; three grandchildren, Justin Elliott, Codi Elliott and Bryan Elliott; one brother, Jerry Hughes of Tunnelton; and seven great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Farrell Hughes.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with Pastor Timothy Gill officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Dixon Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County.
