North Harrison edges Owls

RAMSEY

Seymour fell to North Harrison 63-54 on Saturday.

In the first quarter, the Cougars jumped to a 21-17 lead.

The Cougars held a 34-28 lead at halftime and held on to their lead to improve to 11-6 on the season.

Maci Lubker led the Owls with 20 points, highlighted by three 3-pointers. Fellow-junior Emilee Pollmann finished next with 12 of the Owls’ points.

The Owls turned the ball over 20 times to North Harrison 13 on the afternoon.

Fouls played a large part in the game, as Seymour had 23 while the Cougars committed 13 infringements.

The Owls (11-4) will host Jennings County on Friday at 6 p.m. There will be no JV game, and the boys varsity will start play following the game.

Tigers claim victory in 4th quarter

CROTHERSVILLE

Trailing 36-35 after three quarters, Crothersville mustered 12 points in the final eight minutes to Lanesville’s seven to come away with a 47-43 victory Saturday.

At the half, the Tigers led 23-22.

The Eagles were able to retake the lead headed into the fourth, but the Tigers’ defense buckled down to give the Tigers their 10th win of the season.

Alexis Adair led the Tigers with 14 points.

The Tigers’ Katrina Christian finished with her second straight double-double with 12 points and a team-high 13 rebounds.

On the boards, the Tigers out-rebounded the Eagles 34-20.

On Thursday, the Tigers (10-5) will travel to Edinburgh.
