Opal L. Sitterding Nash, 90, of Seymour, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Seymour Crossing.

Born Nov. 8, 1924, in Little York, she was the daughter of Edward and Mary Lockhart Trueblood, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Alvin Sitterding, and he preceded her in death in 1970. She married William Nash in 1979.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour and the senior center and was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Alvin (Jeannie) Sitterding Jr. of Azalia, Jerry (Linda) Sitterding and Steven (Vickie) Sitterding, both of Seymour, and Douglas Sitterding of Paris Crossing; grandchildren, Joe (Tracey) Sitterding, Tim (Jan) Sitterding, Clint (Courtney) Sitterding, Matt (Melissa) Sitterding, Brian (Heather) Sitterding and Corey Sitterding; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown with Mark Hafenbreidel officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank the staff at Seymour Crossing and Premier Hospice for making the final moments of life peaceful for her.
