Brenda Ingrum Collett, 66, of Medora, passed away at 10:12 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. She had been ill for 3½ years.

Born Feb. 5, 1948, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Paul Ingrum and Mildred Olmstead Smith. She lived most of her life in Kentucky. She was married to Bernard Collett, who preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2002.

She loved going to church, loved her animals and going for rides in the country. She was a member of Red Bird Trinity Pentecostal Church in Kentucky.

Survivors include four stepchildren, Duane Brock, Darrell Brock, Gail Brock Akers and Susie Brock Lewis; several stepgrandchildren; one brother, Alfred Boling of Medora; two sisters, Mary Bowers of Brownstown and Jennie Wayman of Medora; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Archie Boling Jr. and Ray Boling; a sister, Barbara Boling; and a nephew, Dempsy Boling.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia with John Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
