Crothersville schools hosting cancer awareness event

0

The fourth annual Night of Colors cancer awareness event will be Jan. 30 at Crothersville Community Schools

The boys basketball team will be playing Trinity Lutheran that night, and players and cheerleaders will be showing their support by wearing cancer awareness shirts and various colors of socks, each representing a different type of cancer.

Members of the community will have several opportunities to show their support, including by purchasing T-shirts and cancer-relate merchandise, participating in a silent auction and a Polar Bear Plunge, and making donations.

Anyone interested in ordering a shirt can contact the school or visit the website chsnightofcolors.com and print off an order form. Orders and payments may be taken to the high school office. All T-shirt orders must be turned in by 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Survivor shirts will be available for purchase, and anyone wearing a survivor T-shirt will receive free admission to the game.

Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Schneck Cancer Foundation.  For information contact Ryan Canada at 812-793-2051.
