NORTH VERNON

Harold H. McConnell, 96, of North Vernon, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Four Seasons Retirement Center in Columbus.

Survivor include a son, John; daughters, Lucy (Leo) Burns, Kathy (Bob) Lockhart, Annette (Scott) Sanford and Mary (Marc) Doshay; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; and sons, Tom and Brian.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Vernon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Interment will be at Vernon Cemetery.

A Rosary will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, to support Jennings County students who wish to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, donations may be made to IU Foundation in care of the IUPUC Harold McConnell Scholarship.
