Technology assistance available through library

Free technology classes are available at the Jackson County Public Library.

Registration is preferred by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-INFO (523-4636).

Learning a New Language with Pronunciator, the library’s new online language program, will be at 10 a.m. today and Feb. 4 and at 6 p.m. Feb. 24.

Other classes scheduled are: Basic Computer; Facebook Basics; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher; and Your Ebook Reading Device. People can get one-on-one help with their phones, tablets, laptops or downloading library e-books during these classes.

Individual help also is available for Microsoft Office products, Pronunciator, OverDrive Digital Consortium, Hoopla, Freegal, WorldBook Web, Price It!, Chilton’s Auto Repair, Books & Authors, Ancestry Library Edition, HeritageQuest and other technology.

Those interested may call 812-523-4636 to make appointments for individual help from library staff members who teach these classes.
