Volunteers to teach cribbage at libary

Volunteers Terri and Ed Devoe will teach interested adults how to play cribbage at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month beginning Feb. 5 at the Jackson County Public Library.

Experienced cribbage players also are welcome to this free program at the Seymour Library at 303 W. Second St.

People are welcome to drop in and find out about this card game for two to four players, a characteristic feature of which is the crib, and in which the object is to make counting combinations for points that are scored on a cribbage board. Cards and boards will be provided. Cribbage was first played in the 1620s in England.

For information, call Becky Brewer at 522-3412 ext. 1239.
