SEYMOUR

Kenneth Self, 62, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis with his family by his side.

Born in Vincennes, he was the son of Barbara Kirk Self and the late Wayne A. Self. In 1971, he married Vicki Baker at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

He graduated from Seymour High School in 1970. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western movies and archery. He competed in several archery tournaments over the years. His favorite pastime was being with his grandchildren.

Ken was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and retired in 2004 from Cummins Engine Co., where he was a machine repairman.

Survivors include his mother; wife; a daughter, Amy (Shane) Criswell; son, Aaron (Becky) Self; five grandchildren, Parker, Noah and Chloe Criswell and Shelby and Jackson Self; four brothers, Rick (Rhonda) Self, Douglas Self, Timothy (Lisha) Self and Charles (Kelli) Self; and a sister, Lisa (Duane) Pray.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran High School, Immanuel Lutheran School or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
