Louis George Caille Jr., 82, of Vallonia, died at 3:37 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Meadow View Health and Rehabilitation in Salem.

BornĀ  Dec. 17, 1932, in Albany, New York, he was the son of Louis G. Caille and Margaret Boufford Caille, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Joan Merritt in April of 1953, and she passed away May 21, 2003. He then married Sharon Jamison Butler on May 3, 2005, in Keystone Heights, Florida. She survives in Vallonia.

He served 20 years in the U.S. Army during both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He attended Driftwood Christian Church. After his service in the military, he operated a gun and bicycle shop and then was owner of a tree-trimming service in Colorado.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3917 in Security, Colorado, and Masonic Lodge of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He loved to fish and hunt.

Other survivors include three children, Brenda (Richard) Summerlin of Boulder, Montana, and Barry Caille and Robert Caille, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a brother, William Caille of Green Cove Springs, Florida; a sister, Joyce Williams of Dansville, New York; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Andrew Aragon.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Caille; and two children, Brad Caille and Belinda Aragon.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
