Secret pals drawn at homemakers meeting

Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club met Jan. 15 at a Seymour restaurant.

Janet Jarvis led the prayer before the meal. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Glenda Neawedde and club creed led by Linda Lock.

Neawedde gave the lesson about cucumber tips and tricks. A list of those tips and tricks was distributed along with the Tell-A-Homemaker news.

Susan Robbins read “Time Was I Used to Worry” and “The Redneck Love Poem.”

Jarvis gave a citizenship quiz and devotions “Time of My Life.”

Members drew new secret pal names.

The club’s next meeting will be Feb. 19 at Arby’s restaurant in Seymour. Members will exchange Valentine’s Day cards with their secret pal.
