Melodie Yarnell recently was promoted to vice president of risk, compliance and security at JCB.

Dave Geis, president and CEO, said in a news release that Yarnell’s promotion stems from her demonstrated leadership, excellence in collaboration and communication skills, and a model ability to adapt to new processes and systems.

Yarnell is responsible for leading the bank’s risk-management function.

A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, she has earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and has nearly 20 years of banking experience.

She also has held several leadership roles for Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County, most recently as immediate past-president of its board of directors.
