Cancer awareness focus at boys basketball game

The fourth annual “Night of Colors” will be Friday when the Crothersville boys basketball team plays Trinity Lutheran.

The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to the various forms of cancer. The players and cheerleaders will show their support by wearing cancer awareness shirts and various colors of socks, each representing a different type of cancer.

There will be several opportunities for members of the community to show their support including purchasing T-shirts, participating in a silent auction, purchasing cancer–related merchandise, participating in a Polar Bear Plunge and making donations.

Among silent auctions items are a Colts fan pack, Louisville Bats tickets, Purdue women’s basketball tickets, Tupperware and Pampered Chef dinner plates.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Schneck Cancer Foundation.
