Cougars win on senior night

Trinity Lutheran scored more points in the fourth quarter than it did the first three periods combined to come away with a 45-29 victory against Edinburgh on Thursday.

At halftime, the Cougars led 18-15.

Following a four-point third quarter, the Cougars scored 23 points in the final eight minutes to seal a victory on their Senior Night.

Freshman Maddie Roark led the Cougars with 21 points, and senior Sydney Stuckwisch added a season-high 16 points and team-high nine rebounds.

Sophomore Hailley Peters also grabbed nine boards of the Cougars’ 35 rebounds.

Stuckwisch, Angi Bergstedt and Kaitlyn Wright were honored on the night for their commitment to the Cougars basketball program as seniors.

On Saturday, the Cougars will host county rivals Crothersville.
