The Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church met Jan. 27 at the Seymour church.
President Paula Stafford welcomed two guests and thanked Janice Brock’s Group 1 for arrangements.
Jane Coryell gave devotions based upon God’s love and everyone’s love for others.
The secretary reports for November and December meetings were read and approved.
Betty Guinn gave the treasurer’s report for December and January and they also were approved. She read a “thank you” note from the Community Diner board for the society’s assistance and also another from Bill and Robin Everhart for the gift card.
Helen Horton and Pinky Williams were added to the sick list.
Paula thanked those who served the Christmas dinner for the Friendly Crusaders, and she announced the society’s 104th anniversary will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 with a covered dish dinner. Guests are invited.
The society plans to hold a spring bake sale at 4 p.m. May 6 during the What’s on Wednesday dinner.
Carolyn Bruce displayed the scrapbook.
The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Emma Aikman, Betty Guinn, Lois Gueter and Joan Hines.
The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
