Chamber to honor award winners at dinner

The Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce’s 84th annual awards dinner will be March 18 at The Pines Evergreen Room.

The highlights of the evening include a review of 2014, a look ahead and presentation of community awards.

This year’s winners and their awards include Dr. Nate Otte, Rising Star; Luecke Audio Video, Small Business of the Year; and Jackson County Industrial Development Corp., Corporate Citizen of the Year.

The chamber will be awarding Teacher of the Year awards in three divisions. Winners by division are Sherry Dart, elementary; Wayne Huddleston, middle school; and Chris Rose, high school.

Dave Geis, president and chief executive officer of JCB, is the chamber’s Citizenship Award winner.

The night will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with the program and award presentations following.
