Lola May Davers, 86, of Brownstown passed away at 6:22 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.

Born Oct. 25, 1928, in Oolitic, she was the daughter of William and Ethel Henderson Blackwell. On Feb. 23, 1946, in Bedford, she married Horace L. “Shorty” Davers, and he preceded her in death Oct. 27, 2003.

A housewife most of her life, she was a member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the quartet group Sweet Adeline in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. She enjoyed painting, mostly landscapes.

Survivors include daughter, Barbara (Max) Perry of Brownstown; two grandchildren, Lori (Pat) Rigdon and Leslie (Tim) Wisdom; six great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Senior Pastor Tim Lichtley officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery, Medora.

Memorial donations may be made to Brownstown Church of the Nazarene, Schneck Medical Center Hospice Fund, Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary or the nurses station on the third floor of Schneck Medical Center.
