Seymour resident Ed Jones recently acted as the head starter at the boys swimming and diving state meet at IUPUI.

Prior to the state meet, Jones was the head starter at the Columbus North boys sectional.

Jones, who has officiated for a number of years at all levels of swimming and diving competition, said he was honored to work with a great group of officials.

Other officials at the meet were assistant starter Roger Dombkowski Sr., diving referee Todd Maiden and the turn stroke judge John Todd Sorg.
