Foster Care Info Night scheduled at library

The Jackson County Public Library is sponsoring a foster care information night from 6 to 8 p.m. March 19 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Registration is not required for this free drop-in program.

Officials with White’s Residential and Family Services, Benchmark, National Youth Advocate Program, Indiana Department of Child Services and Specialized Services for Family and Youth are coming together to meet the needs of children in the community, according to a news release from the library.

These services focus on long-term foster care, short-term foster care and some adoptions. Staff from those organizations will answer questions attendees may have about becoming foster or adoptive parents.

Michelle Kleber with White’s Residential and Family Services is co-coordinating this event.
