SCIPIO

John H. “Jack” McConnell, 89, of Scipio, died at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ledell McConnell of Scipio; a son, Gregory (Cheryl) McConnell of Fountain Hills, Arizona; one daughter, Robin (Mike Jones) Puterbaugh of Westfield; a son-in-law, Marty Echelbarger of Santa Claus; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacalyn Sue “Jackie” Echelbarger.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Scipio Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in Scipio Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Scipio Presbyterian Church or Season’s Hospice & Palliative Care in Indianapolis.
