CROTHERSVILLE

Gladys Schill, 91, of Crothersville, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Born Oct. 8, 1923, in Washington County, she was the daughter of Roy Williams and Lillie Collings Williams who preceded her in death.

Gladys was a 1941 graduate of Austin High School. She worked at Morgan’s Packing Co. for 18 years and retired from Crothersville Community Schools, where she was employed for 12 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Crothersville, enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

On June 27, 1954, Gladys married C. Junior Schill, and he passed away April 29, 2011.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David (Debra) Schill of Crothersville; a grandson, Adam (Lorraine) Schill of Columbus; a granddaughter, Leah (Tyler) Griffin of Crothersville; a great-grandson, Emmett Schill of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

Gladys also was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Campbell.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with the Rev. Lee Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Crothersville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
