Franklin D. Nale, 79, of Seymour, died at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born March 16, 1935, in Salem, he was the son of Otto Harold Nale and Olive Dowling Nale, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to Rita Nale, who passed away in 2007.
He was employed in the aerospace industry in Carson, California, and he loved gardening, eating, going to the gym to keep fit, studying scriptures, visiting with friends and horse racing. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Nale, of Phoenix, and Douglas Nale of Santa Clarita, California; three grandchildren; a brother, Charles Nale of Anderson; and a sister, Carolyn Cureton of New Albany.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zabel Funeral Home in Brownstown with Pastor Scott Erwin officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Blue River Baptist Church Cemetery in Washington County.
