Juanita Konkle Brindley, 92, of Seymour, died Friday, March 13, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born Sept. 9, 1922, in Switzerland County, she was daughter of Prent and Lula Mae Tilley Konkle, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 28, 1940, in Carrollton, Kentucky, she married Lemuel Louis Brindley. He also preceded her in death.

She was raised in Switzerland County, where she attended school. She was a former housekeeper at Schneck Medical Center, retiring after 10 years of service. She lived in Seymour for the past 45 years. Juanita was a member of Seymour Community Church.

Survivors include a son, Lemuel Louis “Junior” (Sheila) Brindley Jr. of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Frederick Konkle and Ernest “Ernie” Konkle; and sisters, Christine Taft, Jeanette Shadday, Luella Hullet and Pauline Hunt.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry St., Vevay, with Pastor Darryl Douglas, officiating. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 until time of service at the funeral home.
