Published author Emma Shade plans to speak to the Spilling Ink Writers’ Club from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Shade, a Seymour native and member of Romance Writers of America, plans to speak about independent publishing or self-publishing. Her books are published in paperback and are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble as eBooks.

Registration is not required for this free group, which is open to all ages. Library information services assistant Kathi Linz, also a published author, leads the group, which meets on a mid-month Saturday each month.
