Lillian Ann Rodgers, 65, of Monroe City, and formerly of Jackson County, passed away at 9:46 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Born April 20, 1949, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Johnny Donnells and Mary Reynolds Stepp, both of whom preceded her in death.

Lillian was a retired cook from Lodge of the Wabash Healthcare in Vincennes. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Medora and loved gardening, flowers, cooking and the outdoors.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Gene Oakley and Michael Robert Oakley, both of Monroe City; daughter, Shannon Donnells of Billett, Illinois; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four brothers, Edward Wayne Price of Freetown, William D. Cockerham of Martinsville, George Dennis Cockerham of North Vernon, and Donnie Mathew Cockerham of Seymour; and three sisters, Connie Mae Winegar of Florida, Mary Elaine Tomlinson of Martinsville, and Bobbi Denise Bowman of Muncie.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Jo Bell.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with Pastor Craig Muhlbach officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. 

Burial will be at Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery in Medora.
