Janet Lee Wilson, 80, of Crothersville, passed away at 8:02 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born July 29, 1934, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Raymond C. Baker and Josephine Dailey Baker.

On July 3, 1955, at New Hope Church in rural Seymour, she married Alvin Gene Wilson, who preceded her in death Dec. 21, 2011.

Janet was a Crothersville High School graduate. She retired from Seymour National Bank after working there for more than 30 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Seymour, where she helped plan the church bulletin.

Janet enjoyed NASCAR and traveling with Toby Tours and loved going out to eat. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She was beautiful, kind and loving and never met a stranger.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Kyle) Bowman of Crothersville; two sons, Steven R. (Brenda) Wilson of Seymour, and Eric Dean (Lisa) Wilson of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Tyler (Carletta) Bowman of Crothersville, and Chase (Ariel) Wilson, Larissa Wilson and Dylan Wilson, all of Seymour; two stepgrandsons, Luke and Connor Sabine of Indianapolis; a great-granddaughter, Kaydence Wilson of Seymour; and a brother, Bill (Linda) Baker of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Brian “Bubba” Wilson, on Feb. 14, 2011.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Crothersville with the Rev. Lewis Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Uniontown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
