Open house for retiring CEO planned at Schneck

A community open house to honor Gary Meyer will be conducted from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 2 in the Schneck Auditorium, 411 W. Tipton St.

Meyer is retiring Friday as president and CEO of Schneck Medical Center.

Meyer has been with Schneck since 1975 when he took an externship in health administration. The following year he was promoted to assistant administrator of professional services and then subsequently to executive director of community services, senior vice president of operations and executive vice president/chief operating officer. He was named president and CEO in 2001.

The open house will feature a video of Meyer’s 40 years of service to Schneck and the community. Refreshments will be provided.

The public is invited.

Warren Forgey will become Meyer’s successor as president/CEO of Schneck.
