Officer Seth Beville with North Vernon Police Department recently attended training directed toward the use of social media and community outreach.

The training consisted of information about several available social media outlets and provided ideas about how police can better serve the community through these sites. Websites discussed included Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Google+.

The public is invited to use Facebook to find the department’s page and follow it online. They also can follow the department on Twitter @NorthVernonPD.
