Dorothy Mae Price, 79, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Albert and Faye Guinn Darlage, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 6, 1953, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Waymansville, she married the love of her life, Louis Price Jr. He survives.

Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Cortland High School and a dedicated employee of Jackson County Bank for 34-plus years ending her career there as a customer service representative. She and her husband enjoyed motorcycle riding, having ridden to 44 states on their bike.

She loved spending time at Lutheran Lake with her family and friends. Dorothy is known for making several quilts as she sat and watched television. She was a loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Other survivors include her children, Curt (Debbie) Price and Greg (Amy) Price; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Cooper, Chad (Jill) Price, Travis (Lisa) Price and Chelsey Price (Brian Warren); and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Darlage, and sister, Doris Ullrich.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jonesville, with the Rev. Ed Keinath officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Voss Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
