SCOTTSBURG

Tony Ray Beard, 48, of Scottsburg, formerly of Vallonia and Crothersville, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at University of Louisville Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born July 21, 1966, in Seymour, he was the son of Frank and Carol Brumett Beard. They survive at Crothersville.

Tony was a 1986 graduate of Crothersville High School and had been a forklift driver at Indiana Steel in Brownstown. He loved fishing and hunting and enjoyed NASCAR and dirt track racing. The love of his life, was his daughter, Brittany who lives at Vallonia.

Other survivors include a sister, Michelle Lucas of Seymour, and a nephew Aaron Lucas.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Square Road in Seymour.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
