SEYMOUR

Comilla Ruth Alexander, 80, of Seymour, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 23, 1934, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and married Victor James in Beattyville, Kentucky. He passed away Nov. 2, 1999.

She was retired from Cummins Engine Co. and was a member of The Point in Seymour. She was dedicated to the care and enjoyment of her grandchildren. Comilla was an accomplished seamstress who created many keepsakes for her family and schools in Austin.

Survivors include two sons, James L. Alexander and Roger D. Alexander; a daughter, Vicki E. (Dale) Allman; a sister, Della Hunter; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Ron Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
