Marian softball player Logan Personett, of Seymour, was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week for the week ending March 29, the league office announced March 30.

Personett, a sophomore, was named the league’s player of the week after another outstanding stretch of games at the plate as the Knights’ leadoff hitter. She was named co-player of the week one week ago but did not serve as the league’s nomination for national accolades.

The sophomore batted .750 in leading the Knights to a 3-1 week that featured a doubleheader sweep of Huntington and a split with Ashford (Iowa).

She went 9 of 12 on the week with nine runs scored, one double and three RBIs for Marian. From March 20 until Thursday, Personett batted .778 with 21 hits in 27 at-bats to go with 20 runs scored, five RBIs and two doubles.
