Lula M. Wilder, 82, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Jennings County.

Born Sept. 3, 1932, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Charlie and Lilly Pearson Kelly, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 1, 1960, in Seymour, she married Baylor O. Wilder. He passed away April 13, 1991.

Lula spent her life as a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughters, Rosemary (Jeff) Chew, Stella Thompson and Phyllis (Clifford) Dunn; a son, Baylor (Nancy) Wilder; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two stepbrothers, Lee Reynolds and Clarence Reynolds; and two stepsisters, Alice (Bob) Amos and Margaret (Larry) Ashpaugh.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Fleenor; five brothers; two sisters; three stepbrothers; a granddaughter; and twin great-grandsons.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon with the Rev. David Skip Smith officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel in Seymour.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
