Bonnie Waskom, 68, of Seymour, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born Dec. 11, 1946, in Seymour, she was the daughter of David S. Baxter Sr. and Alberta M. VonDielingen Baxter, both of whom preceded her in death. On Jan. 10, 1970, in Seymour, she married Charles Waskom. He survives.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Bonnie enjoyed reading and puzzles. Being a “Grammy” was her favorite thing to do. She worked at Cummins for 34 years and retired in 2001. Bonnie was a 1964 graduate of Cortland High School.

Other survivors include two children, Wendy (Joe) Nicholson and Brent Waskom; grandchildren, Brock Storey, Boone Nicholson, Mackenzie Waskom and Morgan Waskom; two brothers, David “Jack” (Bonnie) Baxter Jr. and Rick (Tami) Baxter; a sister, Barbara (Jim) Unger; a sister-in-law, Julie Baxter; and 20 nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph “Butch” Baxter; and a nephew, Andy Baxter.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Voss Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
