Cleo “Betty” Clouse Petro, 92, of Seymour, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born Jan. 7, 1923, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Ezra Clouse and Nellie Pugh Clouse, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 30, 1959, in Bloomington, she married Charles Ralph Petro, who preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1991.

Mrs. Petro was employed for a year at Seymour Shirt Factory. She also worked at the Arvin plant and 10 years at Indiana University as a custodian.

Survivors include her children, Jessie (Linda) Johnson and James (Wilma) Johnson; a grandchild, Rebekah Sue (Dan) Klaus; stepgrandchildren, George Gianos and Kimberly Gianos; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Layne Johnson; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna (Raymond) Marsh.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd Ralford Claude Clouse and Wallace Edward Clouse; sisters, Virginia Petro, Dorothy Campfield and Clotha Mae Clouse; and a grandson, Timothy Lee Johnson.

When health permitted, she attended Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel with Pastor Larry Arrowood officiating. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss dove release.

Memorials may be given to The Tabernacle.
