SPRINGFIELD, Pa.

Patricia “Patty Lou” Whitcomb, 75, of Springfield, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Folcroft, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away Saturday morning, April 18, 2015.

Born Jan. 1, 1940, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Lego. On April 9, 1960, she married her beloved husband, Harry L. Whitcomb.

She earned her associate degree in teaching from Franklin College. Patty had a strong faith in God and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She loved life and always had a positive attitude and optimistic outlook in the face of battling multiple sclerosis for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her five daughters, Jeannette (Robert) Whitcomb, Cheryl (Paul) Ramagano, Denise (Daniel) Ward, Kimberly (Eugene) Eichman and Valerie Whitcomb; and six grandchildren, Edward, Paul, Matthew, Samuel, Harry and Colleen.

The funeral service will be at noon Thursday at Voss Chapel in Seymour. Burial will follow in Hayden, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Harry.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Delaware Valley chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
