Everyone who enjoys the outdoors is invited to come out, get some exercise and help improve the refuge, which is off of U.S. 50 east of Seymour.

The event will start at 9 a.m. at the refuge visitor center and will include work for volunteers of all ages and abilities, including track pickup, work on the Visitor Center Backyard Habitat and wildflower areas, invasive species removal and work on the Children’s Discovery Area.

Scouts participating in the event may have an opportunity to complete certain badge requirements by prearrangement with refuge staff.
