Clarksville edges Owls

Seymour was able to climb back after allowing four runs in the first inning but couldn’t make muster any late-game dramatics in a 7-5 loss to Clarksville on Friday.

Down 4-0, the Owls mustered three runs in the second inning to close the margin.

Following two runs scored by Clarksville in the fourth inning, the Owls responded with two of their own in the fifth.

Neither team would score the rest of the way as Clarksville held on for a win.

Avery Clark pitched six innings for the Owls with four strikeouts, eight hits and eight walks.

Clark also hit a single and a home run.
